What is barre?

Barre is all about small movements with big results.

Barre is an effective full-body workout based on classical ballet technique mixed with elements of dance, Pilates and fitness. Barre improves your posture, core strength, balance and flexibility while building long, lean muscles without bulk. Barre also has the added benefit of being low impact. In some classes, you'll use just the barre and your body weight to churn out rep after rep of a muscle-burning move, while others incorporate tools like resistance bands, sliders, ankle weights, free weights, exercise balls, and more. Every class is different, but it's always fun!

Barre is really great for anyone looking for a great workout, but especially for those with a background in dance who want to reconnect with your passion for movement. While Barre has its roots in ballet, classes focus on cardio, strength training, and stretching, rather than perfect dance technique.

What are the benefits of barre class?
